Line Follower

Line followers are, well, robots that follow lines. Fairly common.

The objective of making this line follower to learn about sensors, making sensor circuits using pots and op-amps, and learning microcontroller programming. The sensor circuit was a eight-sensor array (all in a one-dimensional array). The eight sensors aid in more accurate sensing and more precise decision-making.

Atmel Atmega 32L was the microcontroller used for the embedded programming, and WinAVR was the IDE. IC7805 was used for the clipping and providing a constant 5V power supply, and the motor-driver used was IC L293D.

I later helped organize workshops for the same @ SRA, VJTI in 2009 and 2010.
